Knowsley youngsters ‘step up’ for children’s rights


Two young people visited 10 Downing Street on Friday to raise awareness of children’s rights on behKnowsley youngsters ‘step up’ for children’s rightsalf of all young people.

Claire Lyons, 17, and Christopher Browne, 17, delivered messages written on footprints from children across the country telling the Prime Minister why children’s rights are important to them.

Knowsley youngster in House of Commons debate

A young person from Kirkby will represent Knowsley in a debate on the famous green leather benches at the House of Commons on Friday.

Dominic Armstrong fromSPARK, Shout Participation & Rights in Knowsley, will join over 300 Members of the UK Youth Parliament to debate the issues that matter the most to them.
The Members (known as MYPs), work year round to represent the views of young people in their area. Dominic will represent Knowsley in a discussion on the five most popular issues voted for by more than 60,000 young people in an online poll.
