The Team

The Rights and Participation Team provides innovative ways to actively engage children and young people and promotes 'inclusive listening' with diverse groups of children and young people, including those with Learning Disability, Physical Disability, Children Looked After, Care Leavers and Young Offenders. The service is responsible for Knowsley Youth Parliament, UK Youth Parliament Elections, Knowsley Local Democracy Week, Knowsley Children and Young People's Forum - known as S.P.A.R.K (Shout Participation and Rights in Knowsley), LINked-Up Health & Wellbeing Group and Knowsley Children In Care Council. The team are also leading the development of Children's Rights in Knowsley, as well as working nationally with UNICEF and the Children's Rights Alliance England.
The R&P Team has an exended team of over 20 Knowsley Young Advisors who play a vitol role in the design and delivery of all the different engagement activities the team deliver.
